Generating a real-world co-op experience for students
The Lindner universal co-op requirement ensures students gain essential, hands-on learning experience while offering the flexibility students and employers need to make the most of their time together. Whether labeled an internship or a co-op, any experiential learning opportunity that meets the criteria below qualifies toward fulfilling this requirement.
Hour Requirements:
Full-time co-ops require a minimum of 350 hours per semester; part-time co-ops require at least 175 hours.
Paid Experience:
All co-op positions must offer guaranteed wages (no commission- or incentive-based pay) and comply with state and federal wage laws.
Relevant Work:
The work performed must be directly related to the student’s major or academic program.

Employer Branding Table
Meet students where they are. Conveniently located near the Starbucks inside the Lindner College of Business, our employer branding tables allows you to represent your company and interact with business students to increase your company’s brand awareness, share opportunities, collect resumes, network, and more.

On-Campus Interviews
Simplify access and increase turnout by conducting your interviews right on campus, in the Lindner Career Services Suite. Employer partners can reserve up to 9 rooms between the hours of 9am – 5pm to interview Lindner students for co-ops/internships and early career positions.
To get started, request an interview schedule in Handshake. Our Coordinator, Holly Woods, will confirm your request and assist with any scheduling logistics or questions you might have.
Business, IT, and Engineering Career Fair
Connect with a broad pool of UC talent at the university’s largest recruiting event each fall and spring semester. The Lindner College of Business teams up with the College of Cooperative Education and Professional Studies to host a 3-day career fair for Business, IT, and Engineering students.

Boutique Career Fairs
In addition to Business, IT, and Engineering Career Fair, Lindner hosts a number of “boutique” fairs that target specific industries and majors.
These fairs include:
- Insurance and Risk Management Fair
- Sales Expo
- Real Estate Career Fair and Info Night
- OBAIS Career Night (Operations Management, Business analytics, and Information Systems)
- Meet the Firms and Industry Night (Accounting and Finance)

Classroom Engagements (Undergrad & Grad)
Turn your business challenges into learning opportunities. By partnering with our faculty for classroom engagements, you can collaborate on projects that benefit your organization while helping students apply their skills.
Faculty also welcome guest speakers who can inspire students and share valuable professional insights while allowing guest speakers to make early connections with emerging talent.
Submit your interest through our Classroom Engagement Request form and we’ll route it to the right faculty member.
